INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Direct Reporting To: Business Excellence Manager
Location Base: HQ

PURPOSE

Star Glory Group is an exciting and fast-growing profitable group of companies and has businesses that specialise in selling duty-free products and providing logistics services.

This role will be a key member of the Star Glory Business Excellence Leadership team and is responsible for the full operational management for all the company’s Management Information Systems (“MIS”) and Information Communication & Technology (“ICT”). This role is also expected to deliver the smooth running of all these systems and to seek or improvise new ways to enhance operational efficiency for the organisation.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Plan, manage, direct, coordinate and design ICT-related activities, as well as provide administrative directive and support for daily operational activities of the department.
  • Provide leadership to ICT operations and infrastructure ensuring that an appropriate technical support framework is in place, including the management and delivery of service support and service delivery.
  • Work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
  • To develop, define, implement ICT relevant policies, Standard Operational Procedure (“SOP”) and best approaching practices.
  • Extend technical troubleshooting support and repair ICT equipment, hardware and software.
  • Safekeep, manage, and update availability of all systems information including but not limited to applications version, access rights, access credential, licenses, and assets.
  • Coordinate with new and existing vendors for sourcing required products/services.
  • Perform periodically analysis work, monitor and evaluate the performance of the department.
  • To work and assist all retail branches and other sister companies of the Group in terms of building new ICT infrastructure and problem solving.

SPECIFY SKILLS REQUIRED

CCTV, Windows and MS office Management, Virtual Machine setup, Retail POS system, Server, SQL database, Firewall configuration, Network Infrastructure management, Data Back-up and sustainability, VPN tunnel management, Mobile apps (IOS, Android), e-Commerce and website hosting management, and multi-systems integration, anti-virus management.

SPECIAL CHALLENGES

As Star Glory has fast-expanding business plans with the need to have more people of talent who knows about the ICT knowledge to provide ICT support, it is equally important that this role also has knowledge in Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) principles. This role is expected to multitask and prioritizes daily workload and able to stay calm when coming to a high-stress work situation.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree (Hons) in ICT, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience providing ICT and administration support
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, etc)
BRANCH BUSINESS MANAGER, GROCERY

Direct Reporting To: Business General Manager
Location Base: To-Be-Confirm

PURPOSE

Star Glory Group is an exciting and fast-growing profitable group of companies and has businesses that specialise in retail, duty-free and providing logistics services.

This role will be a key member of the Star Glory Business Leadership team, and is responsible for the full management of the daily business and services at grocery outlet, and accountable to deliver the business results profitably, safely and with satisfied customers, for the organisation to meet the short to long term company’s business and strategic needs. This role has responsibilities for customers, staff, supplies, storage and handling and deliveries for the grocery business. As this role has bottom-line profit responsibility down to Net Income Before HQ Overheads and Tax level, it is very important that this role is able to work with the team and seek support from HQ to grow the local business profitably by seeking new businesses, grow the number of customers and build strong customer relationship management with the key customer accounts.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Lead and manage a strong team of staff at the outlet to deliver a profitable business and provide excellent customer focus sales and services.
  • Responsible for the bottom-line profitability of the branch outlet business for the company.
  • Analyse local business conditions and make recommendations to identify best practices, pricing, market trends, gaps, risks and opportunities, and oversee the implementation of these recommendations and their initiatives.
  • Grow the business through the identification of new customers and provide a competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery on time and safely.
  • Provide leadership by example and manage, develop, coach, train and motivate all staff to perform at their highest performance level in terms of attitude, behaviours, service and sales contribution.
  • Evaluate staff performance and take the necessary actions as required
  • For existing customers, implement Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to ensure customers continue to be delighted with our services.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and identify remedial actions to address the root cause of the problem.
  • Work with C&P to ensure a healthy level of stock inventories, reduce slow-moving, remove dead stocks, stocks transfer and receiving process is on a timely manner and stocks are arranged and displayed in a well-organised way.
  • Ensure delivery, frequency of delivery and routing are as efficient and as cost-effective as possible.
  • Identify new initiatives to find new ways of selling and costs savings opportunities, validate with Marketing and Finance, realize and track the extra value generated and costs savings.
  • Work with Marketing and support all marketing and promotions to achieve the agreed targets.
  • Analyse spend against budget and business profits on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities, forecast, track and deliver agreed targets.
  • Drive financial, operational and service levels improvement by ensuring continuous achievements of the KPIs, perform root cause analysis and resolution, develop and monitor improvement plans.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy for stocks inventory and sales ledger and cash transactions.
  • Ensure all the company's policies, rules and regulations, standards and procedures are clearly explained to and followed by staff.

As Star Glory has fast expanding business plans with the need to have more people of talent who knows about the FMCG business, it is crucial that this role needs to have a very good understanding FMCG industry and how to maximize value and profitability from this competitive customer-oriented business. This role is also expected to grow the business and provide solid strategic planning and implementation to be competitive in the market. Build a strong customer base and relationship to sustain the profitability of the business. This role also requires strong people management skills and to coach and develop their staff to be successful.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience as Retail Outlet Manager with a solid understanding of successful business and management practices, preferably in FMCG
  • Proven strong business strategic planning and implementation
  • Builds strong customer relationship skills - Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Proven to lead and manage a team, work under pressure and handle customer complaints

  • Adopt and implement Key Account management strategies. Key Account management means:
    o Understanding our customers business thorough needs and requirements to allow our company to tailor our services to add value and help them grow
    o Establish and grow long-term relationships with customers as business partners
    o Develop solid trusting relationships with our major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
    o Provide strong Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to ensure customers continue to be delighted with our services.
    o Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
    o Resolve quickly any issues and problems faced by customers to maintain trust and long-lasting relationships
    o Investigate the complaints from customers and identify remedial actions to address the root cause of the problem
    o Focus on getting business growth and customers win in 5 areas: Coverage, Penetration, Throughout, Expansion, and Protecting from competition (CPTEP)
    o Develop a robust pipeline of new potential customers and win over the competitors to bring these customers into our customer portfolio
    o Responsible for timely collection of payments due from customer for the logistic services
    o Plan and maintain a schedule to visit or call our key customers regularly
  • Monitor and track sales, service levels and profitability performance and service levels improvement by meeting personal KPIs, perform root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts for superiors.

As Star Glory has fast expanding business plans with the need to have more people of talent who knows about the logistics and duty-free business, it is crucial that this role needs to have a very good understanding of the logistics industry and its pricing competitiveness and service levels. This industry faces stiff competition in pricing and service levels, and there are many new players in the market hungry for customers. This role is also expected to support the growth of this logistic business and build a strong key account management relationship with customers to sustain the profitability of the business. Providing logistic services is a high safety risk activity; it is important that the incumbent has good knowledge on local transport regulations, road transport safety management and practices.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree (Hons)
  • 3 years of experience in sales with solid understanding of a successful business and key account management practices in logistic industry (Forwarding, Sea & Air Freight, Warehouse and Haulage)

GROUP CREATIVE DESIGNER

Direct Reporting To Marketing & Marketing Manager

PURPOSE

Star Glory Group is an exciting and fast-growing profitable group of companies and has businesses that specialise in duty-free markets, e-commerce and providing logistics and 3PL warehouse services.

This role will be a key member of the Star Glory Group Marketing, Brand and Corporate Social Responsibility team, and it is responsible for continuously maintaining the company’s brand aesthetics, internally and externally. This includes reviewing, updating, and maintaining the company’s visual representation in all aspects of design including typography, composition, and colour. The individual's creative talents in this role will be applied to digital advertisements, marketing materials, sales documents, trade show materials, and web graphics. It is also responsible for supporting the Marketing and Brand Managers by performing market design trend research. This role requires an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker who strives for design excellence and enjoys challenges.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Head responsibility to conceptualize, design and implement creative graphics projects on time and within budget.

  • Coordinate with the marketing manager to confirm marketing objectives.

  • Ensure to discuss effectual creative direction, brand constancy and top standards of ingenious execution for marketing materials improvement.

  • Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic

  • Ensure precision of file establishment and parameters for every outgoing artwork.

  • Support testimony for correctness alongside approved files sent.

  • Assist others with creative thinking as well as brainstorming sessions.

  • Support marketing department with print and design to coordinate entire corporate uniqueness plus collateral materials.

  • Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, advertisements, and other communication materials.

  • Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • · Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

  • A strong eye for visual composition.

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner.

  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.

  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
